A shooting in Northwest Washington, D.C., near the Tenleytown area has left one person injured and prompted a large emergency and police response.

Emergency calls came in during the afternoon, around 4:25–4:30 p.m., reporting gunfire in the area. First responders from D.C. Fire and EMS and the Metropolitan Police Department arrived quickly and found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds near the rear of the CVS property.
